Hello! My name is Abigail Cooper and have been a long time lover of music! I attended Del Oro high school and had the opportunity to be the Drum Major for their marching band in 2023. This role inspired me in many ways but primarily it showed me a love for teaching. Because of this, I plan to study at William Jessup University to get my teaching credential and a minor in music. 

I have been playing various instruments for most of my life including piano for 8 years, clarinet for 7 years, oboe for 4 and have recently started learning the cello! I’m a firm believer that music is something that is beneficial to anyone no matter background, abilities, or age. It brings me great joy to help students blossom in their  abilities, grow confidence in themselves, and fall in love with the versatility that is music. 

In my lessons I encourage students to develop habits that allow them to find joy in their practices while still building a firm foundation in musical fluency. Currently going through lessons myself in cello I understand personally how the learning process can be to a student. This experience allows me to connect with my students and help them develop into their full potential for musicianship!
